State, Lebanon's Northrop Grumman at odds over data center
Disputes are brewing about Northrop Grumman's data center in Lebanon and an IT contract with Virginia.
The state is asking a court to force the company to give it access to the data center. Virginia's Information Technologies agency claims it needs to replace disaster recovery equipment due to neglect.
And it says a lot is at stake if it doesn't, including potential disruption of the DMV, the State Retirement System, the Department of Taxation, Employment Commission and more.
The company and state are ending their operating agreement in 2019.
Northrop Grumman has sued for breach of contract. The state also claims it wants to escape mounting unnecessary expenses with the company with hopes of getting a court order to force the transition of its email services to a new provider.
