Virginia DMV: Bristol one of 21 localities with zero traffic fatalities in '16

Bristol Virginia received a special accolade Tuesday when it was recognized as one of 21 localities across the state with zero traffic fatalities in 2016.

The city was recognized during ceremonies held in Richmond at the Virginia Highway Safety Summit by DMV Commissioner Richard Holcomb.

"Congratulations to our citizens, the City and Law Enforcement. Without all working together to drive safely, goals such as this are not achieveable," an official statement said.
