Woman charged with hitting 2 pedestrians in Bristol, Virginia

A woman has been charged Tuesday with hitting two pedestrians following a collision on Oakview Avenue in Bristol, Virginia, Monday.

Nicole McGowan, 22, of Bristol, Virginia, has been charged with driving without a valid driver's license, failure to maintain control, and no proof of insurance.

A police spokesperson told News 5 the incident occurred just after 3 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Oakview Avenue. Two men were standing at a construction site when another car lost control and hit the two victims, the officer said.

One of the victims is in serious condition while the other is in good condition, according a Wellmont Health System spokesman.
