TSSAA state championship highlights 5-26

The Greeneville boys soccer team won their first ever state championship on Friday.

The Greene Devils beat Page 2-1 in the Class A-AA state championship game. Greeneville trailed 1-0 at halftime but got goals in the second half from Ryan Thompson and J.T. Vital to win their first ever state title.

Also on Friday, Sullivan East's Hunter Eads won a state title in shot put and Science Hill's Alex Crigger won a state title in 1600 Meter run. Daniel Boone's Ben Varghese won the state title in the 3200 Meter race.

In tennis, the doubles team of the Jacob Marshall and Charlie Moseley from Tennessee High won the Class AAA state title.
