Grimm shines in longest outing of season

Bristol native Justin Grimm pitched a season-high 2 2/3 innings for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday afternoon.

Grimm did not allow a run or a hit in the Cubs 6-5 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Bristol native got two double play balls, while also striking out one batter and issuing one walk.

Since being recalled from the minors on May 29, Grimm has made 16 appearances for the Cubs and he has not allowed a run in 14 of those outings.
