Kaz Grala wins the truck series race at Daytona
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida - With a couple laps to go a pair of old veterans were battling for the Camping World Truck Series race win at Daytona. But after wild final lap crash a virtually unknown rookie found himself in victory lane.
Race leader Matt Crafton ended up doing a 360 though the air after contact on the backstretch. Johnny Sauter had dominated the night, but he too was caught in the that final lap accident. That opened the door for rookie Kaz Grala to take the checkered flag." A little bit right place, right time, a little bit of strategy as to where we wanted to be going into that last lap,"said Grala. "But like I said, it really is all about having that fast truck from GMS Racing. Without that, none of this would have been possible."
