NASCAR trucks' Red Horse Racing shutting down
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner Tom DeLoach announced Monday that his Red Horse Racing operation is shutting down.
"I tried as long as I could but I can't keep funding it out of my own pocket," DeLoach told Motorsport.com. "We've tried as best as we could but I've finally decided I may be building a bridge to no where."
The team operated for 13 seasons and captured 16 wins in 532 races including a 2012 victory at Daytona with Kingsport-based driver John King. That segment of the team shut down later that season after a lack of sponsorship.
Red Horse had two drivers, Timothy Peters and Brett Moffitt, in the top ten in points this season.
