Short Track Nationals To Race Under the Lights Sunday- Format Changes

Rain has postponed the final day of racing for the Short Track US Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway. In a Press Conference Sunday afternoon, Bristol Motor Speedway GM, Jerry Caldwell said that they hope to race around 7 p.m. Sunday. Racing may begin sooner if they can get the track dry.

Once racing resumes, the format will be slightly different than what was originally planned. All 3 series (Super Late Model, Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock) will run 51 laps. This halfway point will allow all races to be considered official if rain returns.

Following the completion of the third race, the series will resume their races to finish the remaining 49 laps if weather permits.
