UVa-Wise rolls at Lynchburg
Uva-Wise scored a school-record 65 points, racked up 510 offense yards and held the Virginia-Lynchburg Dragons to just 58 yards on the day in a lopsided nonconference road win on Saturday. Brycen Lee completed 22 of 26 pass attempts for 271 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. He connected with 10 different receivers over the course of the contest. Chris Thaxton hauled in 10 receptions for 88 yards while Darius Jones added 53 yards on three catches. Matt Felton, Muntsier Sharfi, and James Cousins all caught touchdown passes for the Cavaliers. Jarome Johnson picked up 57 yards on six carries with one touchdown while Carlton Griffith added 51 yards. UVa-Wise's defense was paced by Dylan Giovine with seven tackles (three solo). The Cavaliers notched six sacks on the afternoon. UVa-Wise improves to 5-4 on the year with the win while the Dragons drop to 0-7 with the setback.
