Volunteer hires a new football coach
Volunteer High School hired Justin Pressley to serve as the Falcons new head football coach. Pressley is originally from Kingston, TN and is a graduate of Midway High School and Middle Tennessee State University.
Pressley has 10 years of coaching experience, seven years in Tennessee at the middle school and high school level. He was previously an assistant coach at Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, which reached the state semifinals in 2012. Additionally, he was assistant coach at Pearl Cohn High School in Nashville which appeared in the state semifinals in 2014.
Pressley's first head coaching opportunity came at Lindblom High School in Chicago where he was named head football coach in 2015. While there, he took over a 5A program coming off a 2-7 season. In 3 seasons, Lindblom accumulated a 20-9 record including Lindblom’s only two 2 state playoff appearances in the last 25 years.
Lindblom was the 2015 Chicago League Champion and appeared in the 2015 IHSA State Playoffs for the first time in 25 years. Lindblom also appeared in the 2017 IHSA State Playoffs, the first ever home playoff game in school history.
