Flood threat increasing through Thursday night (3/1)

Flood Threats 2.png

It's been the 3rd wettest February on record in the Tri-Cities.

Our forecast calls for around 0.5" to 1.5" of rain through Thursday.

There is the potential for flooding, especially in low/flood prone areas, near creeks and streams, and possibly near rivers. Those levels are expected to rise, but stay below flood stage.

Winds will also be GUSTY Thursday and Friday and could knock down some trees and power lines due to the wet/loose soil. A few mudslides could also occur. Check back with News 5 on-air, online, and in the StormTrack 5 mobile app for updates.
