Summer weather returns in time for Rhythm& Roots
Almost halfway through, September 2017 has been the coolest on record. The weather is about to change keys, though, as we head into the Rhythm and Roots weekend. (HA! See what I did there?)
An area of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will allow warmer and slightly more humid air to move in out of the south and into the area. However, this will also suppress the air enough to take rain out of the forecast for the weekend.
Tropical Storm Jose (the red L above) is forecast to move between the east coast of the US and Bermuda early next week. This will have no impact on us during the weekend.
Expect daytime highs in the 80s with fairly comfortable evenings and zero chance of rain Friday through Sunday.
Beyond that, it looks like more of the same - as there's little wobble to the weather pattern. The Climate Prediction Center has our area outlined for 'above average temperatures' through next weekend.
So get out and enjoy some great music! For the full lineup, you can visit the Rhythm and Roots website.
