The Kingsport Community Foundation has postponed the Kingsport’s Best event which was scheduled for August 6 due to a recent increase of COVID-19 cases in the area.

“Eastman is proud to be a sponsor of the Kingsport’s Best event honoring the unique contributions made by each of the honorees,” said Paula Bulcao, director of Eastman Global Public and Community Affairs. “With the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases attributed to the Delta variant and the low vaccination rates within our area, the Kingsport Community Foundation has placed the well-being of our community first by making the decision to postpone the Kingsport’s Best event that was to be held later this week. We all look forward to celebrating the honorees and their outstanding contributions to the community when it is safe for us to do so together.”

“While we are obviously disappointed to postpone the event, we prefer to host Kingsport’s Best when we can all come together, enjoy each other’s company and provide honorees the moment they deserve,” shared Greg Perdue, Chair of the Kingsport Community Foundation.
