According to the Tennessee Department of Health, 89 new COVID-19 cases and 3 new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Northeast Tennessee Tuesday.
There are 762 active COVID-19 cases in Northeast Tennessee, according to the TDH.
Below is the number of total cases by county in Northeast Tennessee as well as the change in total cases when compared to Monday. Active case numbers and COVID-19 deaths are on the right.
- Hancock: 105 total cases (+1), 6 active cases (-1), 2 deaths
- Hawkins: 718 total cases (+2), 24 active cases (-3), 14 deaths
- Sullivan: 1,963 total cases (+7), 150 active cases (-18), 31 deaths
- Johnson: 610 total cases (+49), 173 active cases (+43), 2 deaths
- Carter: 1,067 total cases (+2), 92 active cases (-8), 26 deaths
- Unicoi: 258 total cases (+2), 23 active cases (-4), 1 death
- Washington: 2,025 total cases (+18), 210 active cases (-4), 26 deaths (+1)
- Greene: 1,018 total cases (+8), 84 active cases (-21), 32 deaths (+2)
There have been 175,231 total COVID-19 cases reported in Tennessee, according to numbers released by the TDH Tuesday. This is an increase of 957 cases over Monday.
A total of 2,127 COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the state, an increase of 30 since Monday.
The TDH has changed the definition of active cases to remove people 14 days after a positive test.
