Weekend Drive: Hales Community Haunted Forest
The Hales Community Haunted Forest is not only a good place to get a scare, but also benefits the local community.
Robb Phillips with the Haunted Forest says "the proceeds from the haunted forest goes back into the community. It helps less fortunate families, it helps with Christmas gifts, with families light bills, things like that. "
From clowns to chainsaws, there's a scare for everyone.
"The main attraction here is the haunted house- the course- it has 7-8 different scenes in it. Each scene is setup different from the other. They run a little type of pattern, where one will flow off of the other. But it's all setup to scare and terrify everybody."
The Haunted Forest was started 31 years ago by the Ruritan, and is now run by community volunteers. The idea is to appeal to all ages- with multiple attractions.
"We have the haunted escape room, the horror maze and we also have laser tag."
The Haunted Forest is open on Saturday, the 27th and on Halloween and is located on Hales Road in Jonesborough.
