UPDATE: 6th man arrested in connection with death of Washington County, Tennessee inmate

    UPDATE (JANUARY 14, 2019)

    The 6th man charged in connection to the death of a Washington County, Tennessee inmate, has been located and arrested.

    According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Jonathan Pearson was arrested Monday evening in Kingsport.

    He was wanted in the death of Joseph Lockner, 29, of Gray.

    Lockner was found unresponsive in his cell on December 17th.

    A total of six men have been charged in connection with the death of a Washington County, Tennessee inmate.

    The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called in after Joseph M. Lockner, 29, of Gray, was found unresponsive inside his cell after what investigators thought was a medical issue on December 17.

    The TBI said six inmates, five of whom were cellmates of Lockner conspired to carry out the assault. Lockner died on December 20.

    Here is the list of those charged along with the charges they are facing:

    John Zachary Woodard, 23: One count Reckless Homicide, one count Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death, one count Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.

    Wesley Edwin Clouse, 23: One count Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death, one count Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.

    Cody James Albu, 23: One count Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death, one count Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.

    Steven James Necessary, 43: One count Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.

    Glendon Raye Wilkerson, 40: One count of Accessory After the Fact to Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.

    Jonathan Robert Pearson, 38: One count Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death, one count Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.

    Woodard, Clouse, Albu, Necessary, and Wilkerson were all served warrants in the Washington County Detention Center, where they were already being held on unrelated charges.
