Bristol Compressors employees suing company
BRISTOL, Va. —
Some employees of Bristol Compressors, which is set to close November 19, are suing the company, saying they weren't given proper notice of the plant going out of business.
The employees said they have been denied benefits due to them. The suit filed in Abingdon seeks to become a class action lawsuit to represent all 470 employees losing their jobs.
Bristol Compressors gave the city notice that it intends to finish contracts and close by November 19.
