Eastman Credit Union

Eastman Credit Union is warning customers about potential debit/credit card fraud.

According to a post on the company's Facebook page, there have been reports of an increased level of card fraud related to card skimmers which may have been placed at local gas pumps. These "skimmers" allow criminals to capture card information as the card is swiped while paying at the pump.

ECU is encouraging members to closely monitor accounts for any unauthorized of suspicious activity or transactions.

If you believe you may have been affected, use the ECU Card Control feature found in the Mobile App to temporarily block the use of your cards, or you may call (423)229-8200 and choose option 4 to block your cards.

ECU members are protected from any fraudulent charges related to this type of malicious criminal activity.

ECU is currently working with local authorities to help resolve the situation. There has been no evidence that ECU’s systems or ATMs have been breached.
