Contract: Halliburton's salary in Washington County was at least $127,500 per year
Washington County Director of Schools Kimber Halliburton's salary was at least $127,500 per year, according to her contract, which was sent to News 5 by the county's department of education.
That figure may have been higher according to the compensation clause of her contract which stated the board of education could have given her a one-time bonus each year. It was not disclosed in the contract News 5 received if any bonuses were given.
The contract began July 1, 2016 and would have went through June 30, 2020. It was announced that Halliburton was selected to be the Madison County Schools superintendent in Mississippi Wednesday. Halliburton announced her resignation Wednesday as the director of schools in Washington County, effective May 31. She will officially begin her job in Mississippi in July.
In her Washington County contract, she was also given $5,000 for moving expenses and 21 days of annual leave, in addition to holidays.
