Heavy Rain Causes Flooding in Bristol, VA


Heavy rain caused flooding in Bristol, VA Saturday night (8/18/18)- leading to emergency responses in several parts of the cities.

The hardest hit sections were the Dunlap Street and Brookdale Cir communities. Bristol Fire assisted residents in both areas as the water level rose rapidly.

Our StormTrack 5 Weather Team says rain of 2-3" in just a short time frame caused the flooding.

For anyone impacted bty the flooding, a local church is offering help. Grace Point Church on Shelby Street in Bristol says anyone needing clothes can call 423-764-6832.
