Kingsport Kmart robber gets away with $150K worth of jewelry

Kingsport police are looking for a lone robbery who smashed doors and display cases at the East Stone Drive Kmart to steal more than $150,000 in jewelry last month.

Footage released Tuesday by the department shows the male suspect break an exterior door to the facility on January 6 just before 4 a.m. to crawl into the store. Within minutes, he breaks display areas and scoops items out of the case, identified by Kmart workers as 90 jewelry items with diamonds.

Other surveillance video captured by the store showed the suspect exited the area in a beige-colored sedan with tinted windows.
