Police: Couple steals $30,000 worth of items from neighbors in Abingdon
A man and woman from Abingdon, Virginia are accused by police of stealing $30,000 worth of goods from their surrounding neighbors.
Bobby Lee Widener, 28, and Shannon Leigh Roe, 33, are both facing charges of grand larceny, breaking and entering and conspiracy following their arrest on Monday, according to a report from Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman.
Investigators received information about break-ins in the 16000 block of Black Hollow Road. Police received a search warrant for the couple's home, also located along that route, and located items listed as stolen including a washer and dryer, medieval clothes, knives, painting, furniture- 79 items in all, the report said.
Widener and Roe are being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without bond, Newman's report said.
