UPDATE: Missing Nashville 16-year-old teen found safe in Pennsylvania
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — UPDATE: The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says a missing 16-year-old who was allegedly kidnapped by her boyfriend is safe.
Maricsa Beltran-Lopez has been recovered in Philadelphia, PA, according to a Facebook post.
German Rodriguez Top, her boyfriend, is in custody.
A Nashville teenager kidnapped by an ex-boyfriend have been spotted in the Tri-Cities area, Nashville police reported.
Maricsa Beltran-Lopez, 16, was spotted at Comfort Inn and Suites South at 4624 Fairlane Drive in Kingsport, the report said, with German Rodrizuezz, 19.
The pair are believed to be traveling in a 2000 Honda Civic with Tennessee license plate WO789X.
Police said Lopez was speaking with her family by cell phone Thursday night when the call was abruptly ended. The couple share a child and the suspect reportedly picked up Lopez at McGavock High School Thursday afternoon, the report said.
A Tennessee State Trooper went to the Kingsport motel but the couple had already left the business.
Warrants have been secured for Rodriguezz's arrest on kidnapping, the agency reported.
