TBI: Washington Co. woman charged for harboring fugitive
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. —
A joint investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a Fall Branch woman for her role in helping a fugitive.
On January 10th, TBI Special Agents and investigators from the sheriff’s office began searching for Jonathan Robert Pearson.
He was wanted in connection to the death of a Washington County inmate.
Monday, authorities developed information that Pearson was staying at a hotel located on Stewball Circle in Kingsport.
With help from the Kingsport Police Department, Pearson was located and taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed that Candise Marie Stout, 38, helped him elude authorities.
Stout is Pearson’s girlfriend.
Stout is charged with one count of Accessory after the Fact/Harboring a Fugitive. She was booked into the Washington County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
