A search is underway Tuesday morning for a Sullivan County homicide suspect following a pursuit and crash overnight in Hawkins County.
Tennessee Highway Patrol told News 5 that Hawkins County deputies were involved in a pursuit that ended with a crash on Old Union Road and Union Hollow Road. Authorities said they were chasing a stolen vehicle from Church Hill. A sheriff's department vehicle was also involved in the crash. The driver of the stolen vehicle was believed to be a homicide suspect from Sullivan County.
Authorities asked for help from a helicopter, but it could not fly due to weather conditions.
Police said the suspect remains on the run.
