According to Kingsport Police, the two men wanted for a Monday homicide investigation have been captured.
Investigators said that about 7 p.m. Tuesday, KPD received notification from the Adair County, Ky. Sheriff's Office that Joseph Dale Clark II and Alexander M. Hamilton had been arrested.
Both suspects are in the Adair County Jail awaiting extradition back to Tennessee.
Kingsport Police officials said the shooting investigation remains active.
Two suspects in a Monday night shooting at a Kingsport apartment complex are still on the run, classified as armed and dangerous by area police.
A report issued Tuesday morning by the Kingsport Police Department said both Joseph "JoJo" Dale Clark, II, 19, of Bald Knob, Arkansas, and Alexander M. Hamilton, 22, of Kingsport, are charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder following the shooting at Stonecrest Apartments.
When police arrived just after 5:30 p.m. they discovered a man and woman suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. KPD announced Tuesday that one of the vicitms, Trevor L. Reed, died from his injuries at an area hospital. The female victim, who was not identified in the report, is on life support.
All of the individuals involved in the incident had met prior and police have developed a motive at this point but are not releasing those details.
