Congressman Phil Roe is the latest Tennessee Lawmaker reacting to House Speaker Glen Casada.
Casada is in the midst of multiple scandals, including accusations he tried to bribe lawmakers to get a "yes" vote on school vouchers.
He's also been accused of installing noise making devices in his office.
Critics say it's to prevent people from listening in.
Roe was the commencement speaker at Tusculum University's Graduation Saturday.
"I think it's a distraction for our state" Roe told News 5 after the ceremony. "We're doing wonderful in the state of Tennessee and I think probably he needs to think about removing that distraction."
When asked if Casada should step down, Roe said, "I think he should."
Casada told our NBC affiliate in Nashville the accusations of bribery are "ridiculous."
