Former Centerpointe patients trying to get medical records
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - After Centerpointe Medical Clinic closed wednesday, patients are trying to get their medical records. Signs at the clinic tell patients to log into a website to get their records. The closure leaves patients looking for medical care.
"I've had knee replacements and maybe back surgery getting ready to come on, and shoulders, it's put us in a bind getting medication, and finding another doctor," Patient Dale Duncan said. "We can't find another doctor nowhere."
Centerpointe is named in a lawsuit that blames pharmaceutical companies for contributing to the opioid crisis. Centerpointe cites mounting legal fees as the reason for its closure.
