Three children have been taken to the hospital after they were hit by a boat near the White Bridge access area on Norris Lake in Campbell County, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

The TWRA said the victims are 6, 8, and 16 years old. Witnesses said as the boat operator was turning, four children on a towed inter tube realized they were about to be hit, causing two of them to jump off.

The 16-year-old girl who jumped was struck white in the water, and the other one who jumped off was not hurt. The 6-year-old and 8-year-old were hit while still on the tube.

The 16-year-old was airlifted to UT Medical Center while the other two injured were taken to LaFollette Medical Center.

There is no word on any of the conditions of those injured. The TWRA said all of the victims are visiting from Ohio.
