Fire destroys warehouse in Buchanan County

A warehouse that was once home to Flowers Bakery and adjacent building were destroyed early Wednesday morning by a fire.     

The Oakwood Volunteer Fire Department chief says the fire was reported about 1:40 a.m.

The building once housed Flowers Bakery and now belonged to Simpson Attachments, according to the fire chief.

An adjacent building also building belonged to H and M Equipment and Repairs and was also involved.

No one was hurt.

No word on the cause of the fire.
