NASCAR broadcaster, former Bristol radio personality Steve Blevins passes away
Steve Blevins, who was a familiar voice on Bristol radio for nearly 20 years and later went on to work in NASCAR-based broadcasting has died. He was 56.
The Motor Racing Network, where Blevins had worked for the past 14 years as a producer, announced his passing on their social media account on Jan. 2.
Blevins was employed by Bristol Broadcasting beginning in 1984 where he was a news broadcaster and producer. He then went to work for Bruton Smith and the Performance Racing Network before his latest duties at MRN.
Blevins was a Kingsport native and a Dobyns-Bennett High School graduate.
