NASCAR Hall of Famer Glen Wood passes away


NASCAR Hall of Fame member Glen Wood passed away on Friday morning. He was 93.

The news was confirmed by Wood Brothers Racing, the team Wood co-founded and owned.

Wood Brothers Racing got it's start in 1950 in Stuart, Va, before moving the team to North Carolina.

Wood drove his team's car to four victories in the 1950's. The team has 99 wins in NASCAR's top touring series.

Wood was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2012, NASCAR's third class.

His brother Leonard was induced into the Hall of Fame in 2013.
